Summer, from June to mid-September,<\/strong> is the ideal season if you’re planning a beach holiday on the Costa del Sol; the sunshine is perfect and constant, the skies could not be clearer and the rain almost non-existent. Temperatures generally oscillate between 28 degrees in June and 30\/31 degrees in July and August,<\/strong> typical of the Mediterranean climate. However, when the hot winds from inland Andalusia reach the coast, the heat can become torrid, with temperatures sometimes reaching 35\/37 degrees, or even 40\u00b0C. Fortunately, in this case, the wind is strong and the air becomes dry: it’s best to drink often to avoid dehydration, especially for the elderly and children. <\/p>

Apart from this aspect, summer on the Costa del Sol is synonymous with high tourist season<\/strong>; during these months, the region is abuzz with a wealth of activities and events.
